What is Home Staging?
Home Staging is simply creating a warm, inviting but neutral environment, that appeals to a wide range of potential buyers. Staging highlights the best features of the home by simplifying and “decluttering”, so there are no distractions to seeing the beauty of the house itself.
Why Stage my home?
- Today more and more people are using the Internet to start their search for a new home. According to the National Association of Realtor’s Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers 2008 “87% of ALL home buyers and 94% of buyers ages 25 to 44 used the Internet to search for homes.”
- Homes are being eliminated from buyers “must see” list based solely on the photographs on the Internet. Professional staging is key to having your home show it’s best in those photos.
- Statistics show that Staged homes sell faster than non-Staged homes. Staging is no longer a “nice to have”, it is critical to maximize equity.
Will I get back the investment I make in Staging?
- According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the average staging investment is between 1 and 3 percent of the home’s asking price, which generates a return of 8 to 10 percent.
